Project Overview

Mongolia, with its vast grasslands and tradition of animal husbandry, is currently undergoing a significant transition toward modernized, large-scale dairy farming. GREAT FARM recently partnered with a prominent Mongolian agricultural enterprise to design and equip a state-of-the-art facility for 1,000 dairy cows. The goal was to maximize milk yield, ensure top-tier animal welfare, and optimize labor efficiency in Mongolia’s unique climate.

Key Solution Highlights

1. High-Efficiency Rotary Milking System

To handle a herd of 1,000 cows, efficiency is paramount. GREAT FARM installed a large-scale Rotary Milking Parlor. This system allows for continuous milking, significantly reducing the time cows spend away from feed and rest. The rotary design ensures a calm environment for the animals and a streamlined workflow for operators, capable of processing hundreds of cows per hour with minimal manual labor.

2. Specialized Housing & Animal Comfort

We designed the barn with a focus on "Cow Comfort." Using Galvanized Free Stalls (Cubicles), we provided each cow with a dedicated, clean, and dry space to rest. Proper resting time is directly linked to increased milk production. The stalls are engineered to be durable and easy to clean, preventing the spread of diseases.

3. Intelligent Ventilation & Climate Control

Mongolia experiences extreme temperature fluctuations. To maintain a consistent internal environment and prevent heat stress during summer, GREAT FARM installed Large-Scale Industrial Ventilation Fans. These fans ensure constant airflow, reducing humidity and ammonia levels, which is crucial for respiratory health and overall productivity.

4. Automatic Feeding and Hygienic Watering

The project features Automatic Feeding Headlocks that allow for stress-free feeding and easy veterinary access. To ensure a constant supply of clean water—essential for high milk-producing cows—we installed Stainless Steel Constant-Temperature Water Troughs. These troughs are corrosion-resistant and designed to be easily maintained, ensuring maximum hygiene.

Technical Support & On-site Inspection

GREAT FARM believes in a "Turnkey" approach. Our technical experts conducted multiple on-site inspections in Mongolia to ensure the equipment was perfectly adapted to the local environment and that the farm staff were fully trained on the new systems.

Results

Since the completion of the installation, the farm has reported: * 30% Increase in Milking Efficiencycompared to traditional parlor designs. * Improved Milk Quality due to the hygienic, automated milking process. * Better Animal Health with a noticeable reduction in hoof and udder issues thanks to the comfortable stall design.
